Welcome and thank you that you have found the way to our website which is designed to provide a comprehensive review of our company, reflecting the pride we, as Säntis and our partners across the globe, have in our continuing growth and current success. It conveys our sense of mission and vision – to become the preferred leader when it comes to commodities in Korea. Early in 2013, I left Switzerland and my career in Finance after staying 15years in Europe. In Korea, we launched a new company with the strategy aimed to deliver solid solutions for an upheaving and emerging Korean market by focusing on innovative and sustainable solutions and products which will bring us the leading market position as a trusted industry supplier in coal products.
Central to our vision is a strong focus on our two key end-user segments, which will enable us to get closer to our customers and be much more responsive to the dynamics of the global market in which we operate. One end-user segments are thermal coal and biomass as a fuel carrier for the new energy strategy just approved by the government. The Second end-user segment is Coking coal (Semi-Anthracite) which is used for metallurgical processes. We believe by focusing on what we and our partner expert in, will help us achieve our vision for which we have developed a set of strategic focus areas and core processes, which in turn are driven by a series of key actions. We are confident about the future of Säntis as we look toward new opportunities and continued growth, due to our personal relationships and trustful ties we have made. It is my pleasure to lead this prosperous company in the times of opportunities and challenges with a thoughtful mind and peaceful heart.
